In this role, the Inventory Control Specialist will work under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager to analyze, track, and optimize levels of material inventory to ensure quantities are adequate to meet demand across our national footprint.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and maintains inventory systems, ensuring data and reporting accuracy.
  • Verifies and maintains stock documentation, receipt, and shortage reports.
  • Prepares purchase requisitions for materials to maintain inventory levels.
  • Prepares monthly reports on order variances and accruals.
  • Reconciles vendor shipments with goods receipts and invoices.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors in coordination with Procurement.
  • Cross-collaborate with sales, finance, and operations for variance resolution, forecasting, and trend analysis.
  • Monitor forecasts and targets to identify changes and predict effects on operational activities.
  • Monitor suppliers' activities to assess performance in meeting quality or delivery requirements.
  • Collaborates with operations managers to ensure timely asset recovery from closed accounts.
  • Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
  • Manage Returned Material Authorization programs to assets are refurbished and returned to inventory or responsibly disposed.
  • Must have Bachelors degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar.
  • +1 years experience desirable
  • JDE experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills and very organized/disciplined

 

Additional responsibilities may include: 

  • Responsible for checking, testing and the maintenance of the Purchasing/Inventory interfaces in JDE & FSM.
  • Performing all duties of a sourcing agent; procurement of quality material at best price and service to guarantee continuous supply.
  • Identify or qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, or operations.
  • Assists regional operations managers with supplier change transitions, ensuring balances remain accurate.
  • Manages or assists with productivity projects to capture value in assigned areas.
  • Process improvement and outlining new areas for improving system performance
  • Identify and minimize obsolete items and update item master for non-inventory items
  • Backup for other functions of the Supply Chain team.
