Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be part of the busy Business Support Team that helps keep the Early Years and Childcare Service running smoothly. Each day is varied, and you’ll be supporting families, childcare providers and colleagues with the information and guidance they need.
On a typical day, you might:
- Respond to queries from the public, childcare providers, and colleagues.
- Use different IT systems to keep records up to date and process requests.
- Work closely with teammates to share information and solve problems.
- Balance independent tasks with opportunities to support the wider service.
You’ll be making a difference by helping people access the childcare support they need, while also keeping the service running effectively behind the scenes.

You’ll be joining a friendly team of nine (within a wider team of around forty) who work closely together and support one another. We have a strong team spirit and pride ourselves on getting the job done while enjoying what we do.
