YMCA of Greater Whittier - Facility maintenance technician presso YMCA of Greater Whittier

 YMCA Whittier is looking for a talented Maintenance Technician to join the team at our 2 Whittier locations. The ideal candite will have previous experience maintaining a fitness centers. Looking for a jack of all trades with in-depth knowledge of gym maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, basic tool and fitness equipment knowledge.

•  Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance checks and services on equipment
•  Repair and replace upholstery when needed
•  Repair and replace equipment parts when needed
•  Work with others to execute risk reduction measures and provide care in emergency situations
•  Clearly articulate, enforce and educate patrons on all rules, policies and procedures
•  Provide customer service and respectfully manage disagreements
•  Must have the ability to lift 45lbs, stand for long periods of time
•  Perform other duties as assigned. Staff Standards

•  Attend all staff meetings and educational trainings
•  Maintain regular and frequent communication with Supervisor(s), Coordinator(s) and Assistant Director
•  Regular cleaning duties include; mopping, wiping, dusting
• Scheduling repairs and following up with deliveries

• Previous Gym Maintenance Tech experience is a must
• must read and write English
• must have reliable transportation
