Description
- Lead and manage the SWAT Cloud Engineering team, including hiring, career development, performance management, and mentoring.
- Oversee Tier 3/4 support for platform and software issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with telecom customers and partners to optimize cloud deployments and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Contribute to open-source projects such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, and StarlingX.
- Develop and implement processes for incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Interface with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and QA to ensure alignment and delivery.
- Monitor team metrics and report on performance and customer impact.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of software development or SRE experience.
- 5+ years of engineering management experience in fast-paced environments.
- Strong technical background in cloud-native technologies (OpenStack, Kubernetes, StarlingX).
- Proven track record of customer-facing support and incident management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Telecom experience including 5G, ORAN, VRAN, and network cloud.
- Deep understanding of OpenStack architecture (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone).
- Programming experience in Python, C/C++, Go, and automation tools (Ansible, Helm, Puppet).
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
