Job Description:We are currently recruiting two parental leave cover roles:
1. In this part-time fixed-term (4 days per week) Grade 3 Occupational Therapist role based at Epworth Rehabilitation Camberwell, you will be a lead clinician in the outpatient rehabilitation service. Clinically you will see a range of patients including those with neurological diagnoses, with a particular focus on Functional Neurological Disorder.
You will have a minimum 7 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist with demonstrated practice and competence in neurological rehabilitation. You will provide evidence based care to your outpatient caseload, foster & strengthen relationships with the multi-disciplinary team and key stakeholders, and drive innovation and promotion of the Occupational Therapy service. You will be a driven team leader who is approachable, compassionate and accountable. Additionally you will assume responsibility for the supervision and education of colleagues and Occupational Therapy students.
This role will commence on 5 January 2026 for a period of 11 – 12 months. We will consider a suitably experienced Grade 2 for this role also should we not be able to appoint a Grade 3.
2. This full-time fixed-term Grade 2 Occupational Therapist position is for a dynamic and flexible individual who is highly organised and thrives on clinical variety. Working as one of our annual leave relievers, the role covers both inpatient and outpatient caseloads across our Richmond, Hawthorn & Camberwell rehabilitation sites. You will work in orthopaedics, multi-trauma (including amputees), neurology, cardiac & respiratory, general reconditioning, persistent pain and acquired brain injury.
You will have prior experience working in neurological rehabilitation as a minimum pre-requisite to be considered for this role. Additionally you will have high level communication and handover skills, be a true team player and display strong initiative and problem solving.
This role will commence on 15 December 2025 until 30 September 2026.
Qualifications:To be successful in both roles, you will:
- Provide evidence based best practice to your patients
- Have a strong sense of team, both within Occupational Therapy and the wider multi-disciplinary team
- Be proactive with ambition to improve services provided to our patients
- Have a Victorian drivers license and a willingness to drive with patients in the car
- Have prior experience working with private health insurers, TAC & VWA (desirable, not essential)
