The Role
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Investment Accountant to join our dynamic team. This diverse role will support the management of investment accounting across a range of IFM products and mandates. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and external service providers to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely Net Asset Values (NAVs) and Unit Prices for Funds and Mandates.
- Record transactions in accounting systems and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including analysis of significant movements in the Balance Sheet and Profit or Loss.
- Develop and maintain annual Fund-level budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and reconciliations for Board sign-off.
- Support statutory and investor reporting requirements, including RG97 and RG166 compliance.
- Prepare and review investor communications including prices, statements, and ad hoc reporting.
- Assist with tax reporting (BAS, CGT, Fund Payments, Income Tax Returns) and coordinate payments.
- Contribute to capital call and distribution calculations.
- Participate in the take-on and transition of newly established Funds and Mandates.
- Attend handover meetings and review monthly asset-level analytics from external providers.
- Support property acquisitions/divestments and other business improvement initiatives.
- Assist in new product development and implementation as directed by senior leadership.
Your Background and Experience
- Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in property, mandates, and/or fund accounting.
- Strong understanding of investment accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with tax compliance and reporting for investment entities.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel; experience with dashboards is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
