SUMMARY:
Family Service League is seeking a full-time Senior IT Administrator to be responsible for discovering new technologies to assist the Agency in meeting its mission, as well as finding ways to increase efficiencies using existing technology. This position is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the agency’s network, systems and SaaS applications, ensuring that all assets operate at optimum performance levels and are safeguarded. The Senior IT Administrator ensures the security of data, voice, hardware and software, using best practices and techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Senior IT Administrator will set up and manage the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program by creating clear rules, standard procedures, service expectations, and automating routine tasks via workflows.
- Handle security exception requests, vendor risk assessments, endpoint security products and policies, incident response, and external secure file sharing.
- Manage and support major SaaS platforms (e.g Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft365, Google WorkSpace, etc)
- Monitor the performance of Data-Driven Networks, Systems and Applications (OnPrem/ SaaS). Collect and analyze network data, use data from security tools to perform security incident forensics and root-cause analysis, and monitor computer and device activity using data analytics to detect potential security issues.
- The Senior IT Administrator will manage the design, performance and improvements of the Agency’s network and communication technologies, ensuring that systems and platforms align with best practices and FSL’s strategic objectives.
- Actively support the Agency’s strategic initiatives and contribute to organizational performance by implementing hardware, software and procedural efficiencies related to the Agency’s network.
- Manage and monitor cyber security events pertaining to FSL’s assets (Data, Network, Systems, Applications (OnPrem/ SaaS)).
- Oversee FSL security systems, including security camera hardware (OnPrem/ SaaS), by assigning access-privilege levels and ensuring proper functioning of FSL’s multi-site access-control systems.
- Identifying training needs and providing education to both end users and IT staff on best practices that supports and strengthens the organization’s security posture.
- Manage and monitor FSL’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) System, and deployment programs.
- The Senior IT Administrator will ensure that hardware is accurately inventoried, software licenses are secured, and renewal schedules are tracked.
- Assist IT team in the areas of desktop troubleshooting and phone support, laptop/tablet set-up, and the maintenance of equipment and license inventories.
- Provide input to the planning and development of the Agency’s annual IT budget.
- Assist in coordinating activities related to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
- Anticipate and recommend projects and solutions for emerging technical concerns.
- Complete assigned projects by coordinating resources, developing timetables and working with management and users to optimize timely solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical colleagues and non-technical business leaders.
- Maintain documentation for all agency technology.
- Provide technical support as needed during evenings, weekends, and other off-hours.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required. A Master’s degree and relevant professional certifications are preferred.
At least 5 years of progressive experience that includes strong knowledge of network and system administration, communication protocols, coding languages and diagnostic tools. Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Active Directory, and Business Continuity are required. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform are preferred.
Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, including integrations, SaaS gateways, and cloud security best practices.
Strong Scripting knowledge (e.g PowerShell) for automating routine administrative tasks.
Advanced level skills in all Microsoft Office applications required.
Strong ability to explain technical findings clearly and effectively to various audiences.
Strong understanding of statistical analysis and techniques to interpret data correctly.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently required.
Strong interpersonal, team building, and verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong ability to multitask, along with excellent judgement and problem-solving skills required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position often requires sitting and working at a computer for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds.
Driving:
Travel to Agency offices and other locations throughout Suffolk and Nassau County.
