About the Department
The Resident Services department is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled IT Administrator to work in a team that supports property tax and assessor business processes within the Property Information and Notification System (PINS) and related systems. This role serves as a key technical contact for routine operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will bring an effective understanding of property tax workflows, data integrity, and system functionality, and will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery. In addition, the successful candidate will have a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving processes, data structures, and system enhancements.
This is a full-time, benefit earning position. You must be a current regular or probationary employee of Hennepin County to apply for this position. Limited duration employees are not eligible.

Coordinate and execute routine work for property tax and assessor business processes.
- Identify, analyze, and solve system and data issues related to property tax operations.
- Provide expert guidance and support on business processes, projects, legislative changes, and data and system functionality related to PINS and the systems that interact with it.
- Conduct and participate in training sessions related to PINS and related systems to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Create and maintain documentation for routine work and troubleshooting.
- Participate in document reviews and publish documents in a central repository.
- Continuously evaluate and refine processes to drive innovation and improve overall efficiency.
- One of the following:
- Four years or more of information technology experience.
- Associate/vocational/technical degree in an information technology field and two years or more of experience in information technology.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science/engineering or a related information technology field.
- Experience:
- Providing IT support on the PINS application and property tax ancillary sources to business partners.
- Performing routine PINs tasks such as scheduling jobs (e.g., PID03 series, PFR data refreshes), running reports, and updating data.
- Using HALO Analyst for reporting, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Knowledge of property tax business processes, including valuation, billing, payment processing, forfeiture, and refund workflows.
- Ability to:
- Communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, and external partners.
- Prioritize and manage multiple routine and ad hoc tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate on system improvements and participate in cross-functional project meetings.
- Train and mentor team members on PINs processes, data usage, and tools.
