About the Role

Nucar Collision Center of Norwood is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our Body Shop team. This role is crucial in supervising daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and delivering timely, high-quality repairs. The Production Manager will work closely with the Body Shop Manager, advisors, technicians, painters, and insurance representatives to keep operations running smoothly and customers satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the workflow in the Body Shop, ensuring repairs are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate and distribute work among advisors, technicians, and painters to maintain efficiency.
  • Monitor and address parts, repair needs, and daily workflow issues.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of repairs and communication in the shop management system.
  • Conduct quality control checks, including test drives and post-repair inspections.
  • Support technicians with diagnostic challenges and training needs.
  • Lead daily morning meetings to align and motivate staff.
  • Resolve discrepancies with insurance claims while keeping management informed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, hazardous waste disposal).
  • Assist with scheduling, performance evaluations, and administrative tasks.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Foster professional communication with staff, customers, vendors, and insurance representatives.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
  • Proficiency with dealership computer systems.
  • Accountability for departmental profitability within guidelines.
