SALARY: As per the agreement between the Phillipsburg Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Education Association, Inc. hourly rate of $42.00 for a total of 30 hours each, inclusive of the time at the event.
JOB DESCRIPTION: To work with students at the Phillipsburg Elementary School, grades 3 through 5, and the Phillipsburg Middle School, grades 6 through 8, to prepare them for the Battle of the Books, sponsored by the Warren County Consortium for Student Enrichment, and attend/participate in the competition(s).
QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY:
Appropriate New Jersey Teacher Certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to communicate with students, parents, school staff, and community
Knowledge of elementary/middle level Language Arts Literacy
Ability to analyze literary text
Availability for attendance and facilitation of the WCCSE Battle of the Books competition(s)
