Job Title: Senior Recruiter   FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Director Talent Acquisition Prepared By: HR 

Job Summary: 

The Senior Recruiter serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to assist in developing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent to fill both assigned positions and for use across the recruiting function. Compiles data and metrics and analyzes the data looking for trends and areas for improvement.   This position acts as a resource and mentor to other team members.   

 Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Provides recommendations for all phases of the recruiting process for the organization.
  • Compiles data /metrics and analyzes the data.   Looks for trends and areas for improvement. Makes recommendations to the Director TA.
  • Mentors and acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for other team members.
  • Provides training for new team members.
  • Supports the Talent Acquisition system within ADP and makes recommendations to the HRD.  
  • Searches for and implements new and innovative sourcing strategies for their assigned positions and recommends changes to the overall strategy to the HRD.
  • Oversee their requisitions within Talent Acquisition System.
  • Actively recruits and participates in the recruiting process:
    1. Collaborate with managers to identify and develop detailed, accurate job descriptions
    2. Identifies and implements effective, best practice recruiting methods and strategies based on the role, industry standards and the needs of the organization.
    3. Prepares recruitment materials and posts jobs to appropriate job boards, social media, educational institutions, print media, etc.
    4. Full Life Cycle recruiting
    5. Attend interviews, as needed
  • Attends and participates in career events, job fairs, etc.
  • Supervises external recruiting agencies for assigned positions
  • Maintain a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects.
  • Assists with onboarding activities as needed
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, along with company policies.
  • Performs other duties as required

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment of various roles.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s applicant tracking software or other recruiting systems.
  • Knowledgeable about recruiting on job boards and through social media.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • Proven work experience results as a Recruiter.
  • At least three years’ experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process preferred.  
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Physical Requirements:  

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
