Summary/Objective: 
The Strategic Account Manager position is responsible for managing a set of established customers and sales of new products and services offered by the company. 

Essential Functions:

· Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to our customers. 

· Ensure the satisfactory implementation/installation/utilization of services. 

· Assist in the identification and recognition of new business development opportunities. 

· Assist Sales Representatives with pre-sales and post-sales activities such as proving product information and answering product questions and inquiries. 

· Assist sales lead generation activities and maintain a database of qualified sales leads. 

· Address customer issues through our proprietary task tracking tool. 

· Load appropriate data regarding customer contacts, follow ups, and tasks into our customer database tracking tool. 

· Prepare and execute quarterly customer account reviews. 

· Understand level of adoption and assess the risk of renewing existing contracts. 

· Introduce new features and best practices to customers. 

· Track and report on key metrics surrounding customer success. 

· Lead efforts to turn around customers that are at a risk of leaving our services. 

· Maintain renewal list monthly. 

· Provide guidance when needed to sales and customer success teams with respect to post sales contractual negotiations and opportunities. 

· Build and maintain strong customer relationships. 

 

Qualifications: 

· Associate's degree or equivalent, or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

· Knowledge of computer software including database software, internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software. 

Responsibility: 

· A high level of confidentiality is required regarding all client specific data and safeguarding the information from other clients and competitors 

· The ability to gather and analyze information, find possible solutions, select the best option, and evaluate the decision is required 

· A high attention to detail is required, including verifying all work completed 

· This position has no direct financial or budgetary responsibilities. 

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities 

· There is a requirement to maintain and update documentation on all processes and procedures for client based workload 

· All electronic and hardcopy confidential information must be secured when unattended 

· This position participates on a team in the sales and marketing department and requires backing up other team members, and assisting with workload as needed 

 Working Conditions: 

· Work Environment – This job operates in a clerical, open office setting with cubicles. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasional work in a home based office with management approval. 

· Work Hours – This is a full time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with a shift between 7:00am and 5:00pm. Some flexibility in hours is available. Occasional evening and weekend overtime work may be required as job duties demand. 

· Travel Requirements – Some travel may be expected to key customers. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected. 



Customary Work Hours: 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
