Under the direction of the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, the Risk Management Coordinator will work in partnership with all levels of staffing to develop, implement, and coordinate risk management programs and initiatives.


Coordinates risk management functions to identify and limit legal exposures. Coordinates, implements, and documents TCCH’s risk management program on an on-going basis, ensuring that it is consistent with regulatory requirements.


Coordinates the patient satisfaction survey process, reports the results, and provides input on what can be done to increase the level of patient satisfaction. Conducts complaint resolution and service recovery activities. Uses “Service Recovery” process when warranted and maintains patient complaint and grievance procedures.


Under the direction of the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, coordinates risk management functions to identify and limit legal exposures. Provides on-going assistance to employees with incident reporting and maintains incident-reporting application. Screens and prioritizes incoming incidents for severity, frequency, probability of loss prevention. Coordinates risk investigation of all identified potentially compensable events (patient, visitor, employee and product). Collaborates with leadership and the Risk Management Committee to develop loss control measures relating to patient care complaints including, but not limited to, access to medical care and the provision of certain treatments when appropriate. Coordinates PDSA and other methodologies to implement process improvement and manage outcomes. Maintains claim documentation including chain of custody on all medical records with outstanding claims, and maintains all evidence, documents and communications on legal cases in a confidential manner. Sequesters medical records as necessary. Participates in activities to review and revise risk management plan and policies. Coordinates activities to promote compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding areas of risk management responsibility, including but not limited to sentinel events and root-cause analysis.


Participate in and coordinates the annual FTCA renewal application. Develops statistical and qualitative reports on risk management trends and patterns and communicates this information effectively to appropriate audiences. Support HRSA/Grant renewal reporting.

Wage: 

$24.00/hr. - $32.40/hr. depending on experience

Requirements

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Healthcare, Risk Management or Business Administration preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

  • At least 3 years’ of experience in risk management, healthcare operations, or process improvement. Experience in Federally Qualified Health Center highly preferred.

  • Very strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with all staffing levels. Ability to work in a high-volume and complex environment. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Computer literate and able to review and analyze data in electronic format.
