Independent Artist Group (IAG) was launched upon the merger of Agency for the Performing Arts (APA) and Artist Group International (AGI) in the summer of 2023. What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Contract Administrator to work within the Contracts Department, specifically supporting Music and Comedy Touring. 


Duties   

  • Issue contracts and supporting documents to promoter companies and venues
  • Process incoming contracts and payments negotiated by APA for our Music and Comedy Touring Departments
  • Monitor clients’ deals to make sure all signed paperwork and payments are collected, and APA’s commissions are processed 
  • Data entry for each contract into our booking system
  • Interact with agents and their internal teams to ensure clear, correct communication regarding the status of contracts, deposits, settlements and client payments/invoices
  • Provide clerical assistance to the department as needed

Skills And Qualifications  

  • Communicates complex information simply
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and Google Drive
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who can learn processing systems, assume responsibility, and work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to work with promoters and vendors. Strong interpersonal people skills
  • Effectively prioritize tasks as needed to accommodate changing department/company needs daily
  • Capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Education And Experience

  • College degree from an accredited University or College
  • One year of professional experience working in the entertainment industry preferred
  • Prior work experience in live music/comedy at either the venue, promoter or artist side 
  • Familiarity with the OPUS touring software or similar booking agency software is a plus
  • Familiarity with legal agency contracts is a plus
