We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accountant to join our team in Sydney. Reporting directly to the Global Finance Manager, As an Accountant at Xref, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations, compliance, and reporting. You’ll support day-to-day accounting processes, collaborate with teams across the business, and contribute to projects that drive efficiency and financial insights. 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being hands-on with both transactional and analytical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily reconciliation of company bank accounts, credit cards and travel cards (Xero)

• Manage supplier & vendor relationships

• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

• Support payroll and employee expense claim processing

• Collaborate with sales and customer success teams on finance matters

• Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations and internal reports

• Provide ad hoc financial support to the CFO and Finance Manager.

• A degree in Finance/Accounting (or currently completing professional qualifications – CA, CPA, CGA, CMA)

• Experience in accounting functions (AP, AR, reconciliations, reporting)

• Strong technical skills in Xero, MYOB, Sage, or ERP systems (Salesforce experience is a plus)

• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and our client

• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and ability to prioritise under pressure
