Join a Board with Purpose

Since 1947, Hearing Australia and its research arm, the National Acoustic Laboratories, have supported over two million Australians with hearing loss.

We deliver clinical services, hearing assessments and device fittings—serving around 2,000 people daily and enjoying customer satisfaction rates over 85%. We’ve been voted Australia’s Most Trusted Hearing Services Brand five years in a row.

Our work helps children and adults with hearing loss connect with their loved ones and with their community, whether at school, at work or at play.

  • ensure Hearing Australia is commercially successful in a highly competitive sector
  • represent the interests of Hearing Australia to the Minister and external stakeholders
  • work with the Managing Director and the Executive Team to monitor and improve the ongoing performance of Hearing Australia, and

Board members are expected to lead with integrity and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.

What We’re Looking For

We seek individuals with:

  • strategic leadership and governance experience
  • demonstrated commercial acumen, business and digital transformation experience
  • strong financial and risk management skills
  • excellent stakeholder and communication skills
  • strong public sector governance knowledge (or ability to develop this quickly)
