Chef/Production Manager
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef/Production Manager to oversee our kitchen operations and ensure the highest quality of food production at our Avila University location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role requires a creative individual who can develop innovative menus while maintaining operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create diverse and appealing menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation, and safety standards are met.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control to optimize profitability.
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations in the kitchen. Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into menu development.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new recipes and menu items.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
