Maintenance Technician – Indiana Treatment Centers

Location: Mishawaka, Indiana
Job Type: Full-time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, with on-call rotation

Indiana Treatment Centers, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, is opening a brand-new Mishawaka recovery center in December 2025. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure our facility remains safe, functional, and welcoming for staff, clients, and visitors.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Complete work orders promptly and document all repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure fire safety, security systems, and life-safety equipment are operational and compliant.
• Support staff during emergency situations (power outages, severe weather, etc.) and participate in emergency drills.
• Maintain the facility and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Assist with room setup, furniture moves, and general facility needs.
• Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are needed.
• Uphold Joint Commission, OSHA, and Indiana state safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related trade.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to be on-call for emergencies.

Preferred:

• Experience in healthcare or residential facilities.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission and OSHA safety standards.
• Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or related trade.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Indoor/outdoor facility environment with regular exposure to tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, and bending.
• May require evening or weekend coverage during emergencies.
