Job Purpose & Scope:

The Senior HRIS Analyst & Developer manages, optimizes and develops the HRIS software to support HR functions, improve data accuracy, generate reports and ensure system security and compliance. Maintains the integrity and reliability of the bank’s HR systems and integrations, ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the Human Resources (HR) department and the bank. Collaborates across teams and provides expert-level support in all aspects of HRIS including proactively evaluating and recommending improvements for the optimization of processes, system performance and user experience.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Research, develop, maintain, administer and integrate multiple HR systems, applications and databases and ensure correct and optimal functioning, including data integrity, security and access permissions.    
  2. Proactively recommend and drive system improvements by analyzing table structures, table data, and integrations.
  3. Develop, document, and execute extract, transform and load (ETL) processes from multiple data sources using different formats, web services, application programming interfaces (API), etc.
  4. Manage the design, maintenance and optimization of HR databases by developing and implementing new schemas, tables and stored procedures for new data sources, ensuring tables are indexed and contain appropriate keys.
  5. Configure and implement new HRIS systems, applications, modules, features, and system upgrades; serve as subject matter expert to assist user community in development of business requirements, as needed.
  6. Manage medium-to-large projects efficiently and effectively, including planning, organization, execution and status communication.
  7. Utilize comprehensive understanding of HR applications and databases to design and generate complex queries, views, reports, dashboards, etc.
  8. Analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights, enabling informed strategic decisions at all levels of the organization.
  9. Proactively monitor multiple HR systems, troubleshoot and resolve any issues, and provide technical support, training, and guidance to users to resolve issues on HR applications.
  10. Provide guidance and coaching to junior-level HRIS analysts on reporting, coding, configuration and other HRIS activities.
  11. Engage proactively with stakeholders to anticipate challenges and deliver innovative solutions that optimize system performance and user experience and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  12. Consistently uphold best practices in data governance, compliance, and security while championing process enhancements and automation to drive efficiency across HR functions.
  13. Coordinate with internal business partners to document technical requirements and execute employee data transmissions and integrations that are accurate and timely.
  14. Ensure end system integrity and alignment with business/user needs by performing system upgrade regression testing in test and QA environments prior to production environment release.
  15. Maintain position management application by performing regular, timely updates from HRIS and ATS and ensuring data accuracy.
  16. Manage a variety of assignments concurrently and interact with all levels of management and staff.
  17. Produce accurate, thorough and timely work, while meeting commitments and following policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of and proficiency in various HRIS software, applications and databases including configuration, administration and reporting
  2. Knowledge of modern HTML/HML web technologies
  3. Ability to demonstrate strong and effective project management skills, including experience with implementations, upgrades and enhancements
  4. Ability to demonstrate initiative and prioritize and organize work effectively to meet deadlines
  5. Ability to analyze HR data/metrics, identify trends and make data-driven recommendations
  6. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data
  8. Ability to demonstrate strong and effective problem-solving skills and troubleshoot system issues, resolve data discrepancies and identify process improvements
  9. Ability to work on-site full-time
  10. Skill in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Basic Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business or related field; or commensurate work experience required
  2. 7+ years’ experience in a HRIS analysis/development or similar role(s) that demonstrates advanced knowledge and technical proficiency
  3. Experience with database software applications such as SQL, required
  4. Experience with scripting tools such as Python and C# or similar, preferred
  5. Experience with ETL or other data integration processes, preferred
