As the Director of Accounting | Controller at CFHW, you will play a key leadership role in advancing our mission. You will oversee critical financial operations, lead a high-performing team, and partner closely with the executive leadership team. You will serve as a senior leader, synthesizing and sharing complex financial information to support organizational decision-making.
Job Profile:
- Do you have experience with state and federal grants as well as public funding revenue streams in a healthcare environment?
- Are you passionate about non-profits, Federally Qualified Health Care Centers (FQHC), Community Mental Health Centers (CMHC) and mission driven work?
- Have you turned data into valuable information for consultation, and managed complex financial systems?

- Are you a positive, personable and visionary leader who has developed and guided a team during complex change?
What You Get to Do:
- You will lead a team of eight people strongly focusing on process and team development.
- You will hold accountability for expectations of the team and mentor on how to best succeed in their roles.
- You will build processes, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and lead with audit and tax work.
- Provide vision and leadership for the accounting team, fostering professional growth and strong performance.
Compensation: Approximately $112,049 - $162,468 annually. All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's experience and internal equity.
What We Need for this Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Five (5+) years’ experience in accounting or financial management role with some previous experience in a non-profit, grant funded, or healthcare environment.
- Four (4+) years’ experience in accounting or financial leadership role.
- Non-profit experience, experience with grant management and public funding revenue.
- Strong decision maker.
- Adaptable to change.
- Steady and approachable leadership style.
