Under the supervision of the Lieutenant of Police Patrol and Security Services, this position provides support to the daily operations of the campus electronic security program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills; the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and high-volume environment; demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, Word and Outlook); the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse population; and experience in higher education and student support.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform data entry using multiple systems including Microsoft Office
- Processes cardholder information in the database and assigns access to users
- Assist campus ID card holders having issues with access rights. Query campus card access system users in person, by phone or by electronic means to gain needed information from end users and campus departments to provide card access rights.
- Create and maintain, accurate and updated technical system documentation, track and report on service tickets created, escalate anomalies to the Information Generalist II and perform filing of various divisional information either in paper or electronic format
- Maintain and reconcile the Election Security Form system; prepare reports in Sedona and CCure system
- Use Excel spreadsheet for Data Import for USH/Traditional placement books
- Update and maintain Nextgen Invoices and Service Tickets; follow-up with the Administrative Assistant for Public Safety on all outstanding issues concerning NextGen Invoices
- Serve as first point of contact for students, faculty, and vendors with card access inquiries
- Answer incoming calls
- Respond to routine inquiries for building access
- Assist students and faculty with general academic policies and procedures
- Maintain electronic files, record-keeping procedures, and spreadsheets
- All other divisional duties as assigned include field-related training
Position Duties
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title);
OR
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience;
OR
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with card access systems
- Experience with digital security systems
- Experience in customer service
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
