Position Overview

The Business Development Manager will lead the growth efforts, key account management, and the establishment of new partnerships to drive revenue growth for assigned Ancora Business Units. This role will manage a geographic region to deliver established goals. The role is expected to develop and implement a key accounts management, and territory management strategy to drive growth for Ancora Business Unit programs and locations. 

Responsibilities include location leadership and identifying partnership opportunities through developing business plans/strategies for new and existing partners. The ideal candidate must remain knowledgeable of market insights and strategic recommendations for existing and new partners and program opportunities. This position will define both short and long-term strategic goals concerning business growth and be responsible for managing key growth initiatives and client relationships while maintaining an extensive knowledge of market conditions. 

Responsibilities: 

●    Lead all departments at the campus level, providing oversight and leadership to ensure successful and compliant campus operations

  • Establish campus priorities and goals, and implement the actions aligned with the larger company strategy

  • Monitor and ensure campus compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory bodies’ guidelines, along with internal policies of the company

  • Ensure that each staff member has the knowledge and skill to successfully meet the requirements of their position through hiring, training, coaching, and supervision of personnel

  • Ability to identify enhanced opportunities by location level leadership, expanding business through discovery, and effective consultative sales processes. 

● Meets with existing senior management Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team members to expand relationships and secure additional Ancora Business Unit partnerships and training opportunities. 

● Grows existing corporate accounts by creating expanded, strong, value-based partnerships and leveraging existing senior relationships within the employer base. 

● Manages and develops deep relationships with key stakeholders and agencies within existing  Ancora Business Units locations and communities. 

● Plans organizes and leads a consultative business development process resulting in a strategic account plan to grow the relationship. 

● Responsible for managing an existing partnership base. 

● Accountable for growth and revenue goals. 

● Conducts high-level strategy meetings and quarterly review meetings wherein the partnership is evaluated, measured, and altered to drive required results if necessary. 

● Introduces and details new product offerings and product enhancements to stakeholders. 

● Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all agency services offered by partners and awareness of competitors in the education space. 

● Facilitates effective brainstorming meetings with good judgment of what creative ideas will work and may create an execution plan to achieve those goals and motivate a team to execute ideas. 

● Understands industry trends and knows how they may affect agency relationships. 

● Keeps and maintains the Business Development tracking that include proposals, budgets, project costs and analyses, letters, mailings, and partnerships. 

● Assists with business development activities by working with the contracting and marketing of such activities to existing and potential clients. 

● Produces monthly management reports and supports client service and marketing activities. 

● Completes other duties as assigned by the direct manager. 


Qualifications

● Associates degree is preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field of study. 

● At least 5 years of experience including a combination of leading an admissions, business development or B2B sales team, developing and implementing  market  management and key  strategic plans to deliver results 

● Experience with strategic planning, general management, and marketing of Ancora products, including trucking, logistics, and heavy freight industries 

● Experience  in leadership and developing human capital 

● Experience leading D2C, B2B, B2G, B2E sales and community partnerships is a plus

● Effective oral, written, and verbal communicator 

● Ability to work in a matrixed organization, collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, build consensus and buy-in to advance regional and company strategies and initiatives 

● Intermediate knowledge and proficiency with computer navigation, tasks, and multiple applications 

● Ability to work independently with little or no supervision as this position will be working remotely 

● Ability to be flexible with schedule as travel is critical for this position 

● Expert knowledge of products such as Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Chat and Gmail 

● Detail oriented and organized 

● Actively listens to stakeholders and responds to inquiries 

● Ability to solve problems of a complex nature 

● Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced ever-changing environment 

● Maintains professionalism at all times with stakeholders, customers, peers, vendors, and students
