Job Description

Designs, implements, and manages the systems that secure, provision, and maintain an organization's mobile devices and macOS. Key responsibilities include establishing MDM policies, managing device lifecycles, integrating with other IT platforms, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting end-users. Essential skills include expertise in MDM software (like Intune or Workspace ONE), knowledge of operating systems, cybersecurity principles, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. The ability to keep up with new technologies relating to field of work.

MDM Platform Management

Deploying, configuring, and maintaining mobile devices using enterprise MDM solutions like Intune, Jamf, or VMware Workspace ONE.

Policy & Compliance

Developing, implementing, and enforcing corporate MDM policies, procedures, and security best practices to meet regulatory requirements and corporate standards.

Device Lifecycle Management

Overseeing the entire lifecycle of mobile devices, including procurement, provisioning, asset tracking, upgrades, and decommissioning.

Security & Data Protection

Collaborating with security teams to implement device encryption, remote wipe capabilities, app whitelisting/blacklisting, and conditional access to protect corporate data.

Troubleshooting & Support

Providing expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for mobile device and application issues to ensure high availability and optimal user experience.

Integration

Working with other IT teams and platforms, such as identity and access management (IAM) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, to integrate mobile management with broader security ecosystems.

Technical Leadership

Serving as a subject matter expert on mobile device technologies, providing technical guidance, and contributing to technology roadmaps and architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or related field, and 4 years equivalent experience.Technical Expertise: Proficiency in major MDM platforms (InTune, JamF, Workspace One), supporting MAC OS, and mobile device management (IOS and Android). Security Acumen: Strong knowledge of mobile security practices, including data encryption, passcode enforcement, and mobile threat defense (MTD).
