In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in printed wiring, cable, and electro-mechanical assembly to support hands-on fabrication as a key member of our team. You’ll put your skills to work by reading process sheets and manufacturing documents, identifying components and their codes, and using tools such as soldering irons and crimping equipment with precision. As an experienced assembler, you’ll also serve as a mentor by sharing your knowledge with Assembler I colleagues. A strong understanding of workmanship standards and a commitment to quality are essential to success in this position.
What You Will Do
- Assemble printed wiring and electro-mechanical equipment.
- Perform tasks such as wiring, mechanical assembly and PWB loading, cleaning, touch-up and rework.
- Assist in the training of less experienced assemblers.
- Recommend suggestions toward product improvements, cost reduction or quality enhancement of manufactured goods.
- Will normally operate the Component Preparation, Assembly Directed, Drag Solder, Vapor Degreaser and Board Tester Equipment.
- Will also be called upon from time to time to operate other production equipment.
- Maintain acceptable attendance punctuality record.
- Participate in a team effort to ensure a professionally run clean, efficient and quality-conscious manufacturing operation.
- Observe Company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Attend scheduled EH&S training program.
- Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
- Recommend improved EH&S practices
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
