We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer with proven experience in the mortgage and non-investment insurance industry to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a pivotal role in ensuring that OneDome group operates in line with all regulatory obligations, internal policies, and industry best practices, while continuing to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
As Compliance Officer, you will play a vital part in embedding a culture of compliance across the business. You will work closely with operational teams, senior management, and external regulators. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will contribute directly to strengthening our compliance framework and ensuring we remain aligned with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Monitor, assess, and implement compliance policies and procedures in line with FCA regulations and other relevant UK mortgage industry requirements.
· Conduct regular compliance monitoring reviews and thematic checks across business functions.
· Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs.
· Keep up to date with changes in legislation, regulation, and best practices, and communicate updates effectively to relevant stakeholders.
· Investigate and manage potential compliance breaches, ensuring proper escalation and remediation.
· Support in preparing regulatory reports and liaising with the FCA and other governing bodies as required.
· Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the company’s compliance framework, risk registers, and internal controls.

Requirements
· 3+ years’ experience in the mortgage industry in a compliance, audit, or regulatory role.
· Strong understanding of FCA regulations, particularly MCOBs, ICOBS, FIT and Consumer Duty.
· Working knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and data protection requirements.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulatory matters clearly.
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
· CeMAP qualification essential. CeRER not a requirement but desirable
· Relevant compliance qualifications (e.g. ICA,) desirable but not essential.
