Main Tasks:
- A RDS Tableau data engineer is responsible for designing, building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports Tableau-based analytics and reporting.
- This includes integrating data from various sources, transforming it into usable formats and creating efficient data models for analysis.
- It also plays a key role in developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and reporting requirements.
- Support the project manager on all Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop related subjects.
- Follow-up of both design and production teams on the tool’s implementation.
- Provide technical support to the development team.
- Configuration of the solution on non-production environments.
- Regular upgrade of Tableau Server version.
- Support the business lines on the handling of Tableau solutions and implementation of best practices.
- Development of new Tableau reports, as required (platform monitoring, for example).
Technical Skills:
- Relevant professional experience as a data engineer is mandatory (3 - 5 years).
- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) data integration process is mandatory.
- Proficiency in SQL is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Python is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Tableau is mandatory.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English
- French is a plus
