We are currently seeking a full-time, exempt, Store Operations Manager with a strong retail and operations background and proven client-relationship and partner relations experience to join our retail operations at Jamestown Glasshouse in Williamsburg, VA.
The Operations Manager will manage all retail business functions at the location according to established policies, procedures and standards. The Operations Manager will leverage the talent of store staff to drive the business within assigned area (and the company as a whole) while supporting our mission and promoting goodwill and alignment with partner organizations. The Operations Manager will establish productive and positive relationships that foster a team environment and support the achievement of common goals with both internal and external customers, while managing the business in the partners’ location.
Experience, Abilities and Knowledge
- Minimum of three years’ experience in retail management supervising a team.
- Computer proficiency required with applied understanding of Microsoft Office software and point of sale systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team through shared mission and goals.
- Results driven; able to achieve sales and profitability goals.
- Thrives in multi-tasking, high-energy environment with shifting priorities.
- Valid drivers’ license and access to privately owned vehicle.
- Ability to lift boxes weighting up to 15lbs to a shelf height of 5 feet; standing for long periods of time to include bending, squatting and reaching.
- Though minimal, ability to travel using multiple modes of transportation (air, train, car., etc.) as needed.
Education Requirements
High School degree or equivalent. AA/AS preferred.
