Position Summary: |
The Internships & Vision Trips Coordinator provides operational excellence in expanding Pioneers’ short-term mobilization efforts. This role advances both the Internships and Vision Trips programs through facilitation with the aim of introducing participants to God’s global mission, deepening their understanding of unreached peoples, and inspiring long-term engagement in cross-cultural ministry. The coordinator will support the reimagining and growth of both programs—creating innovative experiences, building strategic partnerships, and fostering deeper developmental pathways for individuals, churches, and sending communities. This role is highly strategic within Pioneers’ mobilization efforts and is expected to shape the next generation of missionary engagement through creative, high-impact programming. The ideal candidate is highly relational, detail-oriented, and passionate about mobilizing and mentoring others to passionately follow Jesus and discover their role in God’s mission. The candidate is a servant leader who anticipates the needs of the team, takes initiative without waiting for direction, and creates an environment of support and collaboration. This individual thrives in both structured and flexible environments, consistently demonstrates spiritual maturity, and leads with humility and care. |

Qualifications: |

- Must practice and support the relevant elements of the US Mobilization Base Manual
- Bachelor’s Degree required (fields may include Biblical Studies, Missiology, Nonprofit Administration or Management, Intercultural Studies, Organizational Leadership)
- Minimum 2 years in program development, management or mobilization-related roles
- Demonstrated experience developing partnerships and coaching others
- Strong team player with ability to work across departments and networks
- Entrepreneurial, innovative mindset that can take programs beyond the status quo
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relational skills
- Maturity, humility and a deep heart for missions
- An engaging and approachable personality with a passion for mentoring and guiding others toward missions.

Responsibilities: |
Internships Program Development & Execution - Program Growth & Development: Expand the internship program to new locations and ministry contexts, designing strategic pathways for involvement based on age, interest, and calling.
- Recruitment & Promotion: Post opportunities to external platforms, strengthen relationships with universities, churches, and sending partners, and coordinate with the recruitment team to integrate internships into their mobilization strategies. Travel for the purpose of recruiting the program may be included as needed and upon approval.
- Mentorship & Coaching: Help develop frameworks for spiritual formation and vocational mentoring while incorporating the vision and mission of Pioneers. Mentor and coach interns as part of the program. Provide ongoing coaching for staff who supervise interns to ensure a transformative experience including working groups.
- Operations & Logistics: Conduct/coordinate onboarding, background checks, travel and housing coordination, tech access (e.g., email, laptops), and program evaluation.
Vision Trips Development & Execution - Program Design: Assist in establishing and facilitating a growing catalog of vision trip experiences tailored to churches, small groups, and individuals—offering short-term exposure to cross-cultural missions and Pioneers’ global efforts. Adapt coaching and training resources to spiritually equip, culturally prepare, and interpersonally train participants across varying audiences.
- Church Partnerships: Collaborate with churches to design custom experiences that align with their missions strategy and introduce participants to unreached peoples and long-term missions.
- Spiritual & Missional Impact: Serve as a mobilizer and recruiter. Coach and mentor participants through pre-trip training. Ensure vision trips are spiritually formative and missiologically sound, inspiring deeper investment in global mission.
- Trip Logistics & Execution: Coordinate pre-trip training, in-field coordination, and post-trip debriefing, in partnership with field teams and internal stakeholders. Travel to field teams with vision trips or for the purpose of marketing the program may be included as needed and upon approval.
- Support Development: Develop and maintain a personal financial support base to sustain the role. This role is fully support raised.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Edge and other team members to ensure the success of the Edge Program, Internships Program, and Vision Trips Program. This role is based in our office and is not remote. Regular in-office presence is expected during standard business hours.
