Job Summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Inside Sales Representative based in our Tinton Falls, NJ regional office.   In this role, you will be an integral part of the regional sales team for the aggregate and asphalt operations and in TN, KY, PA, and NJ.

 Day to Day

  • This role is a professional sales role that is primarily officed-based. Customer communication and engagement is primarily done via phone and video call conferencing technology.
  • Manage and grow sales for aggregate and hot mix asphalt materials for a portfolio of small to mid-sized customers in all markets across the East Region.
  • Pro-actively establish relationships with existing customers, primarily via phone-based communications, through structured, out-bound phone call campaigns focused on securing new business, expanding current sales volumes, optimizing material pricing, and converting prospects to customers.
  • Seek, verify, and qualify relevant job leads. Identify all potential customers and prospects that will bid the work, confirm job and customer needs, competitively bid and win jobs within pricing guidelines and approval levels to secure sales volumes at profitable pricing levels.
  • Participate in routine sales team meetings to review results, set actions plans, and address opportunities. These include weekly sales huddles and monthly Sales & Operations meetings.
  • Review relevant sales reports daily, monthly, and quarterly as needed, to prepare for customer communications.
  • Assist sales representatives with monthly forecasting.
  • Assist Accounts Payable team with collection calls as needed.
  • Periodically conduct limited number of market visits for face-to-face visits with Sales Representatives for training, skill development, and building market knowledge
  • Tour/visit Arcosa Production sites to strengthen relationships with Operational peers, learn about production process and Arcosa’s aggregate and Asphalt products.
  • Secure and leverage market intelligence weekly from customers, vendors, and the local market network to make more informed decisions and adjust commercial strategies as needed.
  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

 About You

  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Positive, Team-based attitude
  • Bachelor’s Degree a plus
  • Three years of relevant sales experience.
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-pace, lean operation.
  • Excellent phone-based communication skills.
  • Able to follow projects to completion with quick turnaround times.
  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative and project management abilities.
  • Can effectively work within the Sales Team and cross-functional counterparts in operations, finance, quality control, and logistics.
  • Results-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.

Compensation

  • $64,554 - $100,170 annually
