Position Summary
The Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Kentucky Journeyman Plumbing License, have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in both plumbing construction and service, and be comfortable with traveling between job sites and being on-call as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, valves, water heaters, drainage systems, and backflow prevention devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and Kentucky state plumbing codes.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and execute necessary repairs in an efficient and professional manner.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to complete jobs on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Travel to various job sites as required, with the flexibility to work extended hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in plumbing construction and service.
- Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using plumbing tools, diagnostic equipment, and power/hand tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel within the Lexington/Frankfort region and be available for on-call assignments.
