Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PMO Analyst to join LGC and provide governance to various key projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) by providing analytical insights, managing project portfolios, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Role Responsibilities
- Project Portfolio Management: Lead and manage the project portfolio with a strategic vision, ensuring seamless alignment with organisational goals and strategic objectives.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform detailed data analysis to offer valuable recommendations for project improvements. Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects. Develop and maintain PMO standards, methodologies, and guidelines.
- Collaborator Coordination: Work closely with project managers, team members, and collaborators to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Risk Management: Monitor project risks and issues, and develop robust mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Prioritisation: Coordinate prioritisation and capacity planning to ensure efficient use of resources across projects.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are considered advantageous.
Experience
- Demonstrating at least 5 years of experience in project management or PMO roles, highlighting a track record of successfully managing intricate projects and portfolios.
- Experience working within the Life Sciences sector is highly desirable.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (such as MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
