Salary Range:

  • LVT (Credentialed Technician): $78,030 - $97,535 annually

  • Final compensation is based on candidate experience and credentials.

Job Summary: 
Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dynamic and dedicated leader to direct our Veterinary Technician Program in El Paso. This key role oversees all educational activities, including curriculum development, faculty management, and accreditation compliance. The ideal candidate is a licensed veterinary professional (DVM or credentialed LVT) with a passion for education and a proven ability to foster student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program & Faculty Management: Supervise, evaluate, and schedule program faculty. Lead department goal-setting and ensure effective teaching assignments.

  • Student Success: Monitor student progress, maintain high success rates, and implement strategies to support at-risk students.

  • Curriculum & Accreditation: Develop and maintain the program curriculum. Ensure compliance and prepare all reports for the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

  • Clinical Coordination: Visit clinical sites to evaluate student performance and collaborate with site supervisors.

  • Budget & Operations: Manage the program budget and oversee daily operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Graduation from an AVMA-accredited veterinary program.

  • Three (3) years of occupational experience in the veterinary field and/or three (3) years of teaching experience.

  • Must be a licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).

  • Must hold a current license/certification required to work in the veterinary field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Experience with AVMA accreditation processes.
