About the Role 

The successful candidate will join a team which develops betting solutions. These betting solutions entail the development of mathematical/statistical models and high-performance algorithms; efficient coding; automation of betting operations; data generation, acquisition, storage and manipulation; and performance analysis through back-testing and simulations. 

We are on the hunt for a Senior Software Developer experienced in either the Python or NodeJS programming languages. 

In addition, we are looking for someone who is an expert in one of the following:
  • Scraping / data collection
  • Computer vision
  • Video streaming
  • Databasing, data streaming, architecture + infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, business managers and other developers to understand user requirements and develop high-quality software solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop using the most suitable language with a bias to Python or NodeJS.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in development and apply them to improve the performance and usability of our web applications.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Must have:
  • Professionally experienced using either Python or NodeJS. 
Expertise in one of the following:
  • Scraping / data collection
  • Computer vision
  • Video streaming
  • Databasing, data streaming, architecture + infrastructure

Nice to have:
  • Statistical modelling and skills in data analytics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to retain information.
  • BSc in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or other quantitative discipline.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new environments.
  • Experience in the financial, betting, or gaming industries.
