Job Summary

Responsible for assembling, placement and retrieval of archived materials in a secure and controlled access GLP regulated archive.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Organize, catalog, place and retrieve archived materials in a secure and controlled access archive in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP) and good laboratory practice (GLP).
Utilizes the archival management system for indexing and maintaining materials in the archive and data library.
Performs tasks including but not limited to, organizing, filing, retrieving facility and study related records, biological specimens, and samples.
Communicate with internal and external clients.
Fulfills internal and external requests to retrieve records and materials.
Prepares client specific inventories and reports of archived materials.
Upholds archive security procedures and maintains the integrity of archived materials.
Reviews and interprets data as it relates to internal archive requests.
Develops and maintains skills aligned with the needs of one operational area, (shipping, disposal, receiving, safety, client relations, project lead) develops skills for a second operational area.
Participates in process improvement initiatives.
Maintains Sponsor confidentiality.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $22/hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
⦁    Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)/ Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) / or equivalent desired in business or administrative assistant discipline.  
⦁    Experience:  None required.  0-1 year of administrative/inventory management or warehouse experience preferred. 
⦁    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
⦁    Certification/Licensure:  None.
⦁    Other:  Proficient computer skills with departmental databases, word processing (Word), and spreadsheet programs (Excel). Must be organized, have attention to detail and possess good problem-solving and communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
⦁    Regularly communicate with employees/customers through various technologies, media, sources and contacts. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
⦁    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk, hear, reach with arms and handle, and type at a computer.
⦁    Must regularly operate a computer and occasionally operate other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. 
⦁    Predominantly stands and moves during the workday.
⦁    Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch, climb ladder, step stool.
⦁    Occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds (archived material) up and down stairs, laterally from shelf to shelf and from and to shelves of varying height; up to 5 feet high. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
⦁    General office working conditions; the noise level is usually quiet.
⦁    Warehouse working conditions, the noise level is moderate.
⦁    Be comfortable moving around, lifting boxes and climbing steps.

Comments:
⦁    May occasionally be required to work overtime.
⦁    This position requires coming into the office.
