APS is looking for a Technical Systems Support Specialist to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in delivering exceptional Level 2 technical support to both internal and external clients. Your expertise will help ensure our clients experience seamless performance and success with our innovative products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for both client-facing and back-end software platforms.
  • Review, replicate and respond to software issues escalated from Account Managers.
  • Communicate with both Account Manager and/or directly with clients to resolve issues when resolution is possible; provide detailed analysis of issues as part of further escalation procedure when resolution is not possible.
  • Maintain a working list of “known issues” which have been escalated but have not yet been resolved.
  • Identify temporary workaround to be used while the issue(s) is being resolved and communicate it to the appropriate parties.
  • Test live data before notifying the Account Manager or client that the issue has been resolved.
  • Communicate back to Account Manager and/or directly with clients when escalated issues have been resolved via hotfix, scheduled release, etc.
  • Take initiative to quickly identify, prioritize and escalate critical issues.
  • Manage escalated HandPunch setup and configuration issues.  
  • Physical access to clocks is needed for configuration of new clocks, repair processing and testing.
  • Develop and manage custom programming SOW’s in collaboration with APS and 3rd party development; coordinate the delivery of work product; access Gazelle to add alt id’s and billing; live data testing before notifying clients once work has been released.
  • Other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Requirements

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The list below is representative of the qualifications, skills, and abilities required and preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) years experience in APS payroll and support systems preferred.
  • Experience in human resources and related systems beneficial.
  • Demonstrated advanced technical knowledge and computer skills.
  • Strong observation and problem-solving skills.  
  • Experience with software and systems preferred.
  • Strong client centric focus.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to work with people and work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work in an environment in which constant deadlines exist.
  • Must be able to work the hours necessary to successfully perform in this position.
  • Must understand all company guidelines, procedures, and workflow.
