SUMMARY:
The electrical Commissioning Manager is responsible for overseeing the process of how electrical systems are installed, tested and operate as designed before handover to the Client or Owner. The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of the commissioning Plan, coordinate activities within the project and contractors and ensure compliance with project requirements and code regulations and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop and manage the commissioning plan required for the project based on project needs
• Review Commissioning Schedule to align with project goals and timelines
• Review Testing and Validation process and documentation from Vendor and third parties
• Coordinate and oversee the work of the commissioning team members
• Communicate and collaborate with Project Managers, commissioning and operational teams to ensure project objectives and requirements are met
• Supervise and train commissioning team on documentation and analytical procedures required for the project
• Maintain the commissioning records, test scripts and reports available for review and provide updates to project management regarding progress and issues
• Discuss with commissioning team means and methods to resolve issues minimizing cost and delays
• Ensure and enforce the company EHS policies and procedures during the commissioning process
• Serve as liaison between the company and the GC/Owner commissioning team in terms of coordination of work and inspections
COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, commissioning processes, and industry standards
- Reviews and validates testing procedures, vendor documentation, and commissioning records to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes
- Develops and manages comprehensive commissioning plans aligned with project requirements and schedules
- Monitors progress, identifies risks, and implements solutions to minimize cost, delay, or quality issues
· Anticipates and addresses commissioning challenges through proactive solutions
· Analyzes technical data and makes informed decisions to resolve issues efficiently
· Works closely with project managers, construction teams, and owners to align Commissioning activities with project objectives
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of 5 years in the electrical construction field
· Minimum of 1-3 years of management experience in construction environment performing QC/QA/COMMISSIONING role
· Bachelor’s degree in administration or engineering field preferred
· Knowledge in Electrical and QC/QA/COMMISSIONING standards and testing methodologies
· Experience with electrical testing procedures and troubleshooting
· Experience with relevant software, such as MS Office, Autodesk Construction Cloud Build, Egnyte, CXAlloy, Bluebeam, etc.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities
· Excellent data collection and analytical skills
· Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork attitude
· Clean OMV, drug test results, and background check
COMPENSATION
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $130,000.00 to $160,000.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for benefits.
