Job Description

The SAP ABAP Consultant will be responsible for the day to day care and support of mission critical SAP financial & Insurance applications. The position requires a strong well-rounded IT technician quick to pick up on the overall business and technology processes supported by the team while also eager to learn and grow skills and serve as the technical specialist in partnering with the other SAP teams.

Technology Responsibilities

Resource with 8 -10 years of experience with Functional knowledge & exposure to different modules of SAP like FICO, FSCD, Treasury Cash Management. Min 5 years of experience in ABAP development in HANA

Must have worked on –

Experience with HANA Studio, CDS, RAP, RFCs, TRFCs, HANA Clean core concepts, BTP CPI, OOPS Concepts, Design patterns

Experience in working with APIs, DDIC, BAdi’s, Enhancements Framework, Interface, BDC, BAPI, Debugging, Performance Tuning

Reports, Interactive Reporting, Module Pool, SAP Scripts, Smart forms, User Exits,

Experience in Workflow, ALE, Idocs, OOPS ABAP

Experience with Fiori, BRF+ is advantage

Should be able to learn new modules and start working on it.

Should have very good analytical and communication skills

Perform bug/fix analysis and recommend solutions for finance & insurance related processes

Support business implementations by sharing best practice development skills

General Management & Decision Making

Should be able to work independently and directly with business users.

Sets and executes team strategy, including objectives, plans and policies for area of responsibility so as to develop and deliver innovative solutions and systems in support of Enterprise goals.  Communicates strategy to the team so they understand their role in achieving the established goals.

Works closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.  Makes decisions that have an impact on quality or effectiveness of business activities beyond their immediate team.

Initiates and implements continuous improvements in all areas of IT responsibility. 

Anticipates issues and develops preventive measures.

Analyzes long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and contributes to Allstate business and functional strategy

Should be a team player and work with teams/members spread across locations
