Overview:

The onsite Person Office (HR) Intern supports the Person Office Manager(s) and Director in the daily administration of HR policies, processes, and procedures and performs a variety of tasks. The primary duty of the Person Office (HR) Intern is to collect and manage employment data and support the hiring, and training, and lifecycle of all employees. This role supports the local Person Office in the areas of compliance, training, employee relations and Mission initiatives, and other HR functions as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department
  • Compiles and maintains paper, digital, and electronic employee records, including W/C and various leave requests
  • Enters and updates employee records into HRIS system (SuccessFactors) and/or ADP
  • Ensures employee submission of complete requirements before the first pay
  • Generate variety of reports as needed
  • First point-of-contact for employees and answers inquires
Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Timely and detailed oriented
  • Sense of urgency is required

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a higher education institution
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
