The Human Resource Coordinator will manage administrative tasks for the HR Department, supporting recruitment, maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll, and providing essential support to the HR department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the management of employee records: update, maintain, and organizing existing records.
- Coordinate and support the hiring process: submitting online job postings, performing preliminary applicant review, scheduling interviews, completing pre-employment screenings, and maintaining records and information.
- Assist in maintaining the Affirmative Action plan, including annual logs and compliance reporting.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and collected for I-9 Compliance, Payroll, Benefits, and Company Policies and Procedures.
- Respond to internal and external HR-related questions, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Human Resource Manager.
- Working knowledge of all benefits for hourly and salaried positions. Assist with open enrollment meetings. Serve as a resource to employees in resolving benefits-related issues and concerns. Support processes related to FMLA, Disabilities, Worker’s Compensation, and Return to Work.
- Assist with payroll-related tasks, acting as a back-up to payroll processing.
- Coordinate and manage monthly safety visits and annual required trainings.
- Assist the HR Manager with employee recognition and community involvement programs.
- Assist with maintaining and updating the Human Resource Information System as related to, but not limited to, employee database, recruitment, compliance, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, practices, regulatory changes, and new technology in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Assist in organizing presentation materials, coordinating meeting and catering arrangements, maintaining Plant TVs, and other assignments as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, with 2 – 5 years’ experience in a general administrative human resources position. Associate’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources or related field is preferred.

The employee will enter manufacturing areas where they are exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and/or airborne particles. The noise in these work environments is moderate to loud.
