CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Java & Web Technologies opening for our client in NYC, NY.
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/JEE technologies.
Develop web applications utilizing Java frameworks and languages such as Ruby or Groovy.
Implement transaction management, manage Java objects, and integrate enterprise systems.
Apply best practices in dependency injection, inversion of control, and aspect-oriented programming.
Leverage functional programming and test-driven development methodologies.
Work with data access and transaction management frameworks, including batch processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
Participate in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment.
Skills:
Strong expertise in Java/JEE technologies and related web development frameworks.
Proficient in languages such as Ruby or Groovy for web development.
Solid understanding of enterprise application architecture and design patterns.
Experience with dependency injection, inversion of control, and aspect-oriented programming.
Familiarity with functional programming and test-driven development.
Knowledge of data access frameworks, transaction management frameworks, and batch processing.
Experience with DevOps methodologies and associated tools (CI/CD, automated testing, deployment).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java and web application development.
Proven track record in enterprise application design, development, and deployment.
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices in application development and delivery.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
