MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in arts/science in related allied/scientific field and three years progressively responsible experience in occupational safety and health, emergency response/management, environmental science, and/or allied/scientific field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

To be successful in this position, you need to bring:

• Demonstrated ability to lead the development and implementation of safety programs specific to the Redwood City Campus.
   
• Ability to effectively collaborate with local emergency services to implement realistic simulations that provide participants with valuable experience in responding to emergencies.
   
• Ability to maintain and establish relationships with local regulatory agencies to stay informed about compliance requirements and ensure the campus meets all necessary health and safety standards.
   
• Ability to independently conduct regular safety audits and inspections identifying and assessing potential work environment hazards.

Preferred Certifications and Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid California non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
 

• Frequently stand, sit, and perform desk-based computer tasks.
   
• Occasionally use a telephone, write by hand. 
   
• Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, reach/work above shoulder, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, write by hand, sort and file paperwork or parts, operate foot and/or hand controls, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh 40 pounds or more.
   
• Ability to maintain a valid non-commercial California Driver's license.
   
• Ability to drive day or night.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must wear personal protective equipment as defined/required by job assignments.
   
• May rarely be exposed to high voltage electricity, radiation or electromagnetic fields, lasers, noise > 80dB TWA, allergens/biohazards/chemicals /asbestos, or heavy metals
   
• May rarely work in confined spaces or at heights ≥10 feet.

The expected pay range for this position is $119,362 to $132,000 per annum.
