Job Description:AECOM is seeking a Contract Administrator IV to be based in San Diego, CA. We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented California State Grants Specialist with experience California state funding programs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of school facility regulations and a demonstrated ability to manage the grant application and reporting process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and interpret California State regulations related to school facility funding.
- Identify and evaluate available funding opportunities.
- Prepare and submit accurate grant applications and all related documentation.
- Prepare and/or support preparation of expense reports for auditors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, attorneys, CPAs, and administrative agencies to gather required information.
- Maintain organized records of all grant-related materials.
- Work with IT staff to define data requirements and support grant tracking systems.
- Communicate clearly and effectively across departments to ensure compliance with funding guidelines.
- Understanding of financial and project management software systems.
- Familiarity with OPSC and CDE online systems.
- Knowledge of eligibility establishment and update.
- Analyze problems and propose solutions related to funding and regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Coordinates and provides review, administration and/or compliance activities for industrial, commercial and/or government (federal, state and local) as listed above for complex contracts that may require more coordination with multiple entities, requiring further legal reviews, etc.
- Works under limited supervision.
- May provide guidance to level I and II contract administrators. • Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
- May assist in the negotiation of terms and conditions with clients.
- May provide recommendations regarding outsourcing requirements.
- This position may serve as team lead and subject matter expert.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 6 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience with California state funding programs.
Deep understanding of public school facility program regulations and public construction requirements.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with coding concepts and database structures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Solid excel and spreadsheet experience
