Come join Ram with this newly created role.  The Analyst will provide critical analytical support for the management and financing of the firm’s multifamily, retail, and mixed-use portfolios. The role will include financial modeling and forecasting, valuation analysis, and extensive data analysis to support strategic decision-making for the firm’s assets and private equity funds.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Create, enhance and maintain new and existing financial models and tools, ensuring quantitative accuracy and data integrity. Analytical and financial models support business activities, forecasted metrics and portfolio performance across the following disciplines:

  • Fund level: financial projections supporting business decisions and assessing impacts on asset and fund level returns. Prepare performance and forecasted metric reporting.
  • Valuation and Forecast: quarterly forecasted performance and current valuation for each asset, driving quarterly fund-level valuations. Collaborate with internal development and asset management teams to gather/analyze source data and forecast performance. Prepare concise analytical summaries for Senior Leadership supporting recommended valuations.
  • Portfolio Management: assist in the development of analytical process and financial tools, enhancing insights into portfolio performance and supporting recommended courses of action.

• Evaluate the risks and benefits of potential capital structures and providers. Assist in the preparation of detailed reports and recommendations based on analysis.

• Assist in the timely sourcing of financing transactions by creating lender offering memorandums, pro forma underwriting models, and due diligence data rooms. 

• Assist with the underwriting and analysis of subordinated capital investments.

• Work with senior team members and acquisition teams to close financing transactions and subordinate capital investments including monitoring due diligence checklists, reviewing documentation, and coordinating with 3rd party vendors.

• Prepare borrower and guarantor compliance for all loans with assistance from asset management and the fund accounting team. 

• Conduct other ad hoc analysis, research, and/or investment projects for the firm.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in finance or economics and 1-2 years of relevant work experience (or an equivalent combination of experience and education).

· Professional experience with financial modeling and analysis, including scenario analyses.

· Quantitative and analytical experience with a proficiency in Excel a must. Argus preferred. 

· Relevant real estate experience (commercial and multifamily) and a demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis using methodologies such as NPV analysis and IRR analysis.

· Demonstrated ability to interpret both property and portfolio level financial results. 

· Demonstrated ability to accurately capture large data and find meaningful relationships.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret correspondence and business reports.

· Strong financial modeling skills and in-depth experience with Excel. 

· Must be a critical thinker and have a comfort level challenging the status quo and/or conventional wisdom.

· Ability to produce, review, analyze, and describe complex financial projections and related schedules. 

· Comprehensive understanding of the valuation of retail and multifamily assets.
