Job Summary
This position is focused on ensuring the efficient and courteous delivery of blood and blood products to hospital partners and/or other agencies across the Central California Blood Center service area.
Essential Responsibilities
- Transport blood/blood products to hospital partners.
- Pickup and delivery of blood product orders, specimens, equipment, supplies to facilities across Fresno, Mariposa, Merced, Kings, and Tulare counties and may travel outside of this region as needed.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues with delivery and/or access to products.
- Cultivate positive hospital relationships.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Identify potential hospital service issues and implement proactive intervention measures.
- Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations, including blood handling process.
- Immediately report any compliance issues to department management.
- Monitor and maintain Hospital Services vehicles, updating records and charts as necessary.
- Attend all 1:1 and department meetings as scheduled.

- This position requires consistent, on-time attendance in accordance with company policy. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism may impact performance and employment status.

Qualifications and Skills
Education/Licenses/Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of customer service experience or prior courier experience, preferred
- Must have a valid California driver’s license, and a clean driving history with no major violations in the last five years.
Skills
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field preferred.
- Excellent ability in providing professional, efficient, and friendly service.
- Must be self-motivated and a team player.
- Ability to coordinate with other departments on client-related matters.
- Willingness to accept additional hours where necessary to meet operational needs.
- Prior computer skills using Microsoft Office (primarily MS Word and Outlook).
