Account Manager – IT & Cybersecurity

Location: Southlake, TX (Hybrid – must live within 30 miles of our office)

Compensation: $65,000 base salary + commission (On-Target Earnings: $110,000)

The Role

We are seeking an Account Manager who is outgoing, highly organized, and tenacious with follow-up. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for our current clients—ensuring satisfaction, building trust, and proactively identifying ways M3 Networks can deliver even more value. The ideal candidate thrives on relationships, isn’t afraid of tough conversations, and is equally comfortable talking technical details with engineers or business outcomes with owners and executives.

This is a hybrid role: approximately 70% work from home and 30% onsite at client offices. Candidates must live within 20 miles of our Southlake, TX office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the trusted relationship manager for assigned client accounts.

  • Conduct regular client check-ins and quarterly Technology Business Reviews (TBRs) to align IT strategy with business goals.

  • Proactively identify and close upsell or cross-sell opportunities for IT and cybersecurity services.

  • Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure client technical needs are addressed promptly.

  • Review client cybersecurity posture against NIST standards and make recommendations.

  • Track and report on account health, ensuring retention, satisfaction, and the creation of raving fans.

  • Guide clients on upcoming business changes (new hires, office moves, AI adoption, new software, etc.) that impact IT.

  • Ensure follow-up on all action items with persistence and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Required: 3+ years of Account Management experience at a Managed Service Provider (MSP).

  • Required: Hands-on experience with ConnectWise Manage and Quoter.

  • Strong understanding of NIST cybersecurity framework and ability to explain its importance to clients.

  • Proven track record of upselling, cross-selling, and expanding client accounts.

  • Comfortable having tough conversations around risk, budgets, and compliance.

  • Outgoing personality, highly organized, and tenacious with follow-up.

  • Able to carry both technical conversations with engineers and business-focused conversations with owners/executives.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $65,000

  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $110,000 (base + commission)
