Your role
The Salesforce Solution Architect serves as Communities Foundation of Texas’ (CFT) lead Salesforce expert, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions across Salesforce products. This role replaces the Salesforce Administrator position and expands responsibilities to include advanced development, solution design, and integration architecture. The Solution Architect will ensure CFT’s Salesforce environment is scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational strategy, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with business stakeholders.
This role is onsite in our Dallas office at least 3 days per week.
What you’ll do
- Lead end-to-end solution design across Salesforce products (NPSP, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) and integrations.
- Define and implement scalable data models, automation, and security frameworks.
- Evaluate AppExchange tools, vendor solutions, and emerging Salesforce capabilities.
- Build and customize with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, APIs, and declarative tools.
- Oversee Salesforce configuration, user management, reporting, dashboards, and releases.
- Own integration patterns with systems like finance, marketing, and grant platforms.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with CFT’s mission.
- Partner with stakeholders to optimize Salesforce adoption and impact.
- Mentor the Jr. Salesforce Developer and support cross-team knowledge transfer.
- Establish and enforce Salesforce development, deployment, and security best practices.
- Maintain system documentation and solution roadmaps.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and guide adoption of new capabilities.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- 5 or more years of Salesforce development or administration experience.
- Familiarity with Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- Additional certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder) are a plus.
- Eager to learn and grow technical Salesforce expertise.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
