Position Summary:
ANSER is seeking an Administrative and Security Specialist to support the Operations Team for the Organizational and Management Policy Directorate (O&MPD) under the Office of the Director of Administration and Management (ODA&M). In this role you will support daily operations and security processes and actions as related to personnel, physical, information, industrial, and operational security.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Support the development, management, and sustainment of the O&MPD security program.
- Manage the operations and security of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs within O&MPD.
- Responsible for the overall administration of Special Security functions, to include but not limited to personnel, physical, government contracts, computer and SCI security matters in accordance with applicable DoD policies and procedures.
- Coordinate, execute, and monitor the O&MPD information, physical, personnel, and classified document security, advising on appropriate information security guidelines and policies.
- Facilitate the transmission of ODA&M personnel security clearances/visit requests to U.S. Government Agencies, the Services, and International Partners and the receipt of visit requests for incoming personnel and visitors.
- Ensure physical security of all the O&MPD spaces, including adding and deleting access to alarm and swipe access to open storage classified workspaces.
- Process requests for common access cards, building access permissions, computer accounts, etc. by verifying clearance level and facilitating security endorsement.
- Create, track, technical editing and supporting Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) packages, as needed.
- Support a range of operational functions within the Decision Support Group, including human resources, IT, security, and facilities management. Key duties included:
- Answering and routing phone calls; greeting and escorting visitors.
- Facilitating in-processing of new personnel by completing required DoD forms (DD1172, DD2249, DD2875).
- Coordinating equipment and furniture requests; maintaining inventory records.
- Managing suite access, overseeing SCIF maintenance, coordinating burn bag destruction, and resolving IT/network issues in collaboration with support teams.
This position requires on-site Monday through Friday during core business hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM), with flexibility to support alternate shifts as needed (e.g., 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance.
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years’ experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DoD.
- Experience with personnel security that includes submitting clearance requests, clearance validation, visitor access requests (VARs), and badging.
- Experience managing physical security of classified and unclassified office spaces.
- Experience supporting information, industrial, and operational security programs.
- Experience working with senior DoD leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong people skills with the ability to objectively view requirements and evolve operations to maximize efficiencies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
