Job Description Summary: Kids Club Leader I, works under the direction of Membership Director and is responsible for the direct supervision of children 8 weeks to 11 years old and cleanliness of child care center.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum 6 months experience working with children
- CPR/FA certified within 30 days of hire
- Child Abuse Prevention certification within 30 days of hire
Desired Skills:
- Bi-lingual a plus
- 6 months of customer service experience
Essential Functions:
- Must be fair, nurturing, and caring to all children
- Enforce safety policies and procedures according to the YMCA guidelines
- Responsible for impeccable customer service with parents at all times
- Responsible for having basic knowledge of all YMCA programs, activities and special events
- Responsible for maintaining a safe environment by constantly monitoring all children’s actions and activities
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness in all Kids Club areas
- Responsible for knowing, implementing and enforcing all emergency procedures
- Involvement in the recruitment of volunteers for annual YMCA sustaining campaign
- Follows the YMCA personnel policies, practices, salary administration plan, emergency procedures and risk management procedures.

Physical Requirements:
- The employee must be able to occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to bend, reach, stretch and grasp constantly
