In this supportive role to the Behavioral and Intervention Support Specialist and under the guidance of the Family and Community Engagement Supervisor, you will assist with key inclusion efforts such as developmental screenings, coordinating Family Services Plans, managing referrals, and helping connect families to appropriate community resources.

You will also provide essential support to child care providers by organizing training sessions and helping develop and maintain inclusion materials. Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality are critical to success in this role.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred to better serve our diverse community of families.

Essential Functions:   

  • Serve as a liaison for families seeking inclusion services, guiding them through intake, developmental screenings, and service referrals.  
  • Provide support to the Behavioral and Intervention Support Specialist by assisting in the completion of developmental screeners and Family Services Plans, and by helping share information on early childhood development and community resources with families.  
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions and workshops to early learning providers on inclusive practices and developmental screening tools.  
  • Monitor compliance with inclusion standards to support the Behavioral and Intervention Support Specialist as they observe early learning programs and deliver technical assistance. Assist in coordinating any additional resources or follow-up plans needed to support providers and families.  
  • Develop, update, and distribute resource materials to support families and providers in accessing available services.  
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, case progress, and program outcomes using internal databases and reporting tools.  
  • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to facilitate integrated service delivery and address gaps in family support.  
  • Manage case documentation from initial contact through case closure, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.  
  • Participate in community outreach and engagement activities to promote inclusion services and raise program visibility.  
  • Adapt work schedule as needed to accommodate family and program needs, including occasional travel to program sites.
