We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is committed to improving outcomes for young people in Torbay by becoming a Youth Support Worker with Torbay Youth Service. We have both a 37 and a 30 hour post available for this role.

As part of the team you will work directly with young people to help support them with a range of needs and to enable them to be safe, be healthy and achieve their full potential.

The support offered to young people can be delivered on a 1-1 basis, in group sessions and when taking part in fun activities such as camping trips, sporting or sea-based activities and cooking or crafting activities etc. all as part of our informal education processes under the National Youth Agency’s youth work curriculum.

We would love for candidates to have experience of working with young people and are also keen to develop their learning and abilities to gain youth work qualifications.

This post meets the requirements for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. This will show spent and unspent convictions and adult cautions which have not been filtered in line with legislation, plus any information held by local Police that is considered relevant to the role.
